I hold no truck with iffy banks. My attitude is simple: if there is any criminal activity then those responsible should face justice and punishment.
It isn't rocket science.
There is something a bit bad about the newspapers and politicians screaming to high heaven for public inquiries and prison for all bankers. Firstly it was labour who changed the banking oversight system and allowed banking wrongness to occur. Strangely this fact, or the sheer incompetence of Mervyn King of the Bank of England boss over decades which have allowed this system to occur, and for the country to be ruined is ignored. There is no calls for a full investigation into the way polticans and civil servents allowed market rigging, and bank bankruptcy to occur.
These same media and poltical monkeys are the very same ones, especially recently in the press, who demand that the inquiry's into their illegality are scrapped and their crimes go unpunished. It seems that when inquires and trial apply to thier crimes it is a waste of time and money and an assault on press freedom or poltical debate.
Everyone else need to be hung from lampposts to allow the media and craven politicans to assurge the angry public and distract attention from thier own crimes.
And that stinks.
Any crime by anyone should be punished to the full extent of the law. I don't care who commits the crime, how rich they are, how powerful, how famous, or even if they run the country. If they commit crimes they are no better than the lowest thief or thug.
The media and the politicans need their crimes unearthed and the perpetrators punished. For these same criminal MPs and reporters to call for a witchhunt and prison for people who are greedy and nasty but most likely broke no law, when demanding their crimes be ignored is simply wrong.
Punish all those who break the law and change the system to stop their crimes.
It is really that simple.
