Jimmy Carr is the subject of media attacks by his perfectly legal ways he reduces his tax bill. The key word here is legal. He has broken no law at all.
To me it's ridiculous that media empires like the Sun, Daily Mail, Guardian, et al, who use every scheme in the book not to pay tax to attack anyone else for doing the same. The Guardian gets a tax rebate from the taxpayer even though it hides hundreds of millions in profit abroad. As to NI well we all know they won't pay tax. The Mail and the Telegraph are owned by people who pay no tax at all.
So it a bit sick they damn Carr.
However the worst hypocrite is the Lib-Dem minister Danny Alexander who calls Carr as being worse than a benefit cheat.
Such shabby populism is pathetic.
Carr has broke no law. Benefit cheats are criminals.
However the sanctimonious Alexander doesn't condemn all the MP 's who fiddled their expenses. Worse he supports the fiddler David Laws who was caught taking tens of thousands illegally from the taxpayers. To Alexander was the victim who should be brought into to government. He didn't call for, what to most people consider to be blatant fraud, to be charged and brought to justice.
But that's different. Alexander seems to feel that when polticians fiddle and steal its ok as our money is theirs by right.
Such stupidly and a eagerness to lie, spin, and appeal to jealousy is demeaning.
He really is a moron. Or he thinks we are. Neither is attractive.
