Anyone who has read this blog know of my feelings about the BNP. I'm not a fan. In fact they are scum. Their leader is an unsavoury man called Nick Griffin.
In short they are horrible.
However they are totally legal and deserve the same rights and protection in law and media as any other party or individual has. If they break the law they, like any other party, should be punished or banned.
But they are still legal. Indeed extremist parties who call for murder or have murdered, maimed, and tortured are legal....which is wrong.
However I do find the story in today's Daily Star on Sunday, repeated with relish by the Mail on Sunday, is nothing more than a smear against this loathsome creep.
It's a very odd story which goes that for some reason an ex-glamour model (unfamous even at her peak) was encouraged by her boyfriend to be nice to the vile Nick for her career....nice boyfriend! For reasons I am none the wiser she was the only person in existence who could drive to France to pick up the stranded leader when he had a crash... And this is a leader of a poltical party. And a rich MEP!
This facist model and ex-BNP member who was dating the BNP's London organsier (nice couple) then alleges that Nick exposed himself to her when they shared a takeaway. She says he asked to perform a sex act which she refused.
She then alleges he sent her several text messages which informed her that the weather in France was hot and clothing light.
And that's it. The Star and Mail call Griffin a sex pest.
I'm sorry but this is ridiculous.
Firstly all the scandal about the vile Griffin and his sex life is his alleged homosexuality or gay affair. To my knowledge this hasn't been proved either but it seems odd that in light of this this is the only time women have featured in any of the many scandals attached to the horrible man.
Secondly where is the proof?
The police weren't called. The actual text messages haven't been produced.
The actual messages alleged to have been sent aren't obscene. Immature maybe but not criminal. The number of texts allegedly sent don't seem huge. Women who have been subject to text pests get thousands of vile messages. One individual I know recently got 156 in one night.
That's being a pest!
By spinning the story to such a ridiculous extent is doing real damage to real victims. Rather than say that Griffin tried it on with a slapper 'glamour model' and was rebuffed, which is a no-story it tries to make mileage out of him bring a sex pest.
With no proof....
Or the police being informed here or in France of any criminal activity (exposure and harrisment are crimes).
By reducing harrisment and pestering to this level is an insult to the hell people, mostly women, who are subject to real harrisment and live in constant fear.
I hate the BNP with a passion but this is pants. To my mind it is a cheap kiss and tell by a pornographer owned tabloid using one of their models to try to whip up a scandal on the cheap.
It's all very seedy and cut price. Like the Star and the Express since the porn baron bribed labour to allow him to buy them.
When one considers the great reputation the Express had as being a real paper it's sad.
Now both papers are cheap garbage published on the cheap by a grubby little man with alleged ties to the mafia filling his pages with stories copied from other papers.
Like I say it's sad.
Griffin is a nasty person. But you don't win the argument by this pathetic smear.
