Make banks lend to anyone! And this is a good idea why?

I know how hard it is for business to cope without loans and credit facilities from banks. I also know how hard it is for good, reliable, people to be denied mortgages even though they are a safe bet. The lack of funds does real damage.

However I don't understand why the press are demanding that the banks open the floodgates by giving wads of cash like they did pre-crash.

You see it's hard to find funding now. Many good and profitable businesses and people are suffering. However it was the insane profligacy, mostly in the US and all agreed by government, that bankrupted the banks and has done so much damage to our economy.

How can we go back to the bad old days that did so much damage, for which we and or children, and our grandchildren are going to have to suffer in order to repay.

Why would we want to?

We need to strike a acceptable balance between providing vital funds and no being spendthrift.

It's our only way we can proceed. Anything else would be idiotic. It's a shame the press are being so irresponsible.

We don't need another crash.
