Labour Councillor suspended for calling for Tories to be murdered

Florence Anderson was a senior labour councillor and was once deputy council leader of the the North East City of Sunderland. In the past she's got away with calling for Mrs Thatcher to burn in hell and telling the world that she didn't need to be dead to be buried.

Now she has been suspended by labour for supporting calls for the IRA to plant another bomb and kill as many Tories as possible.

Not nice but when one thinks that the IRA murdered many Tories, and crippled many more by their bombs it's a horrible thing to say.

Anderson isn't a child. She's a grandmother grown fat on the public purse. For Sunderland this includes massive government subsidies. For an adult professional politician to call for the death of anyone much less those who hold a different view is despicable.

How thick is she?

How childish.

As it happens I know both Sunderland and Hetton where she is from very well. Sunderland has fared very badly. The devastation of the shipyards and mines were bad, but the real damage has been done by the labour types who run the city. This damage predates the closure of the mines of the shipyards. Labour has destroyed Sunderland. Hetton itself is a nice place. Like most places there are bad bits but it's green with a nice park and plenty of amenities. Alas she shut the very nice library down during the last labour government but it's now a gym. All these nice things are down to the area receiving massive government grants, mostly under the Tories as it happens. Without this help Hetton wouldn't be half so nice.

But she shows no gratitude.

There are plenty of more deprived areas in the North East.

For a ignorant idiot not to understand that what's gone is gone and that mining was what it was: hard, polluting, and dangerous and that people and society have moved on is frankly pathetic.

And so Anderson has been suspended. Now I don't know if it was to take the justifiable heat from labour as it shows who the real nasty party is, or if it is part of an internal power play within the local party which used this scandal to remove a rival for a very well paid political portion. I've seen such ploys used too many times in local labour parties to be surprised if this was the case. I do know that she, and anyone else who supports terrorism regardless of party, have no place in our politics. I hope her ousting is permanent and not spin revered when the world is not looking.

Silly woman and idiot. Hetton and Sunderland deserve so much better.
