Chris Huhne and ex-wife charged!!

 Life tends to make one cynical. When one thinks on how so many corrupt and iffy politicians have been been left off their crimes and assorted naughtiness cynicism seems the best option. 

So it is with delight that the oily, useless, and by all accountas hated by his own party, person that is Chris Huhne has finally been charged with perverting the course of justice by, it is alleged, making his former wife lie and take licence points for his motoring offence. 

He has now resigned from government. It just goes to show you that no matter how powerful or rich you are events can conspire to destroy you even nine years after the event. 

Which is nice. 

But it gets better...

His ex-wife Vicky (Vale) Pryce who Huhne dumped so viciously for a lapsed lesbian has been charged with the same crime. Now I, like most people, feel she was treated very badly indeed by Huhne. However she has become a media whore of the back of it and was demanding a safe Lib-Dem seat so it is a tad amusing that two politcal careers have been destroyed by a single scandal. 

It is nice that Huhne will face justice. For too long polticians have, and still, get off with crimes. For a politician like Huhne who gets off bossing us around and thinking himself better than us scum to face justice is apt. 

I do not want a witch hunt. I do not want him treated more severly than anyone else. 

I simply want him to face the same justice, and face the same punishment, anyone else would face. 

The actual alleged motoring offence is trivial. Like is so often the case it is the coverup that is the serious offence. 

I hope Huhne finally faces justice and pays for any and all crimes he has committed.
