The final leaders debate: a photo worth a thousand words

The following was taken during that final leaders debate. If there was ever a example of a image being priceless this is it.

It is odd, in my experiance, for two grown men to do co-ordinated stork impressions.

No look at the photo and ask yourself: who looks like the (slightly holier than thou) winner and who the nervous losers.

Safe to say it was yet another bad day for Brown. It was probably a worse one for Clegg. His inherent shallowness and unpopular policies do not thrive with such scrutiny.

A telling image. And amusing I feel.

Gordon Brown Thinks Labour Voters are Bigots: Official

Wellllllll

He thinks one loyal labour voter, a Mrs Gillian Duffy is. She isn't of course. In fact she seems to be a perfectly respectable, hardworking grandmother, she worked for decades in her local council, nursed her dying husband through cancer. She has spend her life freely volunteering her time for the disabled. In short she is the type of strong woman who lives their lives helping others asking and receiving no praise. My admiration of people like Gillian is immense. They make things better for our community.

And Gordon Brown forgetting he was wearing a radio microphone. after smiles and vacuous words to her, gets in his car and calls this staunch supporter a 'bigot'.

The whole of Brown's rant was recorded, and I present it to you below,

.

See here and here. What is worse for Brown is the coverage in the Rochdale Observer which is a pro-labour paper in a labour heartland. Even if some of the comments are pro-labour, most aren't. Indeed some of the labour comments insult the good lady and basically tell he to piss off back to Ireland. She's not Irish but labour types seem to revert to racism at the drop of the hat.

The Rochdale Observer are talking about the incident as a defining point in the election. That Gillian is the woman who cost labour the election. As their blogger, David Ottewell says, immigration is an issue that concerns a lot of people. And as such Brown's insult and contempt will stop people voting labour. And this is a labour paper!

Brown has made a grovelling apology.

Why does Brown, a socially inadequate and plain nasty individual meet normal people? He makes things worse.

What strikes me is the fact that without Brown's incompetent rant Gillian's questioning of Brown would not have been a story. At all. Now it is a big one. The problem for Brown is that it makes people think that this is what labour thinks of loyal labour supporters. And this after Brown told the country that he understood their concerns on unfettered immigration and was clamping down hard on it.

So not only do we see that this is a lie, it also shows the contempt he holds us in.

This will not do much for labour's vote I fear.

It will also hit the Lib-Dems. By making the normal person's concerns on immigration front page news shines a light of the Lib-Dems unpopular ruse of granting passports to 2.5 million illegal immigrants.

At the end of the day, and other clichéd terms, what we see in this incident is how nasty Brown is, and how cowardly. He did not insult Gillian to her face, no he was smarmy and ingratiating. He insulted her in secret. Worse he did not defend his views but cowardly backed down in a grovelling apology.

Nasty and cowardly.....yup that's Gordon all right.

Needless to say Gillian will not be voting labour in the election.

This one incident could confine labour to a even worse defeat, and scupper the Lib-Dems. For all the media nouce and planning, for all the millions spent, it is the unexpected which does the damage. This one event could change history.

All because of one insult.

Strange isn't it how things happen!

Brett Domino: bringing sexy back!!!!

This is a joyous video. A charming video I feel is better than the original. We  all need some fun sometimes.

The FCO anti-Catholic memo: what it says about them.

I happen not to be Catholic. I also have natural aversion and disgust at how the Catholic Church handled the child abuse scandal that has struck them over the years. I simply cannot understand how anyone, never mind a church, could protect the perpetrators and ignore the victims.

The guilty should be punished.

Saying that I understand that the guilty are only a small number of the members of the Catholic Church.

It is simply bigoted opportunism for the people to attack the full church and wider Christians using the crimes of a minority. Not all are guilty. Only a small fraction of Catholics are guilty or any crime. By grossly generalising it allows the really guilty to escape the public hatred for their vile actions.

This does their victims a disservice.

It is as if every journalist were linked to child abuse because a minority are paedophiles, and I can think of at least one paedophile TV journalist locally. They are in prison for their crimes. It would be stupid and wrong.

This brings me to the ridiculous memo distributed by the Foreign and Commonwealth office regarding the upcoming visit by the Pope to the UK. This fatuous document is childishly insulting. The idea of getting the Pope and the Queen to sing a duet is simply insulting. The idea of getting the Pope to open an abortion clinic is sick. See here.

The memo has been excused by people saying it was written by FCO ‘children’, specifically a 23 year old graduate , Steven Mulvain, but this is misleading. This was an official FCO document official circulated with a covering letter. And this most undiplomatic of diplomats has not been punished, see here

Do you think that a similar document was circulated when an Islamic leader is about to tour the UK, or for a blood-thirsty dictator from outside Europe?

I don’t think so somehow.

What I find rather worrying is the fact that this memo was written by well paid and highly educated people. Worse than that, people who have received specialist training in diplomacy. If this is the result all the money and training, god help us.

To attack a Christian Church in so flippant a manner is part of the politically correct movement to single out Christians for abuse but no other minority or ethnic group.

There is often thought to be an anti-religious movement. But there isn’t. It is an anti-Christian movement. The anti-religious movement never criticise other religions which have an even more anti-scientific mentality, and which support evermore human rights abuses. Specifically Islam.

Fear of death means that these self-proclaim scientific rebels only attack those religions who pose no threat to them.

I’ve no problem with atheism. People can believe whatever they want. Reasoned argument can be made for both sides in the debate. What I do find a little irritating is the way in which comedians and the like have jumped on the bandwagon of atheism. This liberal group-think does not mark them out as intellectual free-thinkers. Rather it marks them out as part of a herd who spout what they think is trendy and edgy.

I find that an unattractive tendency.

I’m not a Catholic. I have serious criticism I could make into the running of the Church, and issues relating to child abuse. However, this ridiculous attack on the Pope and the billion Catholics is pathetic and cowardly. There needs to be a massive shakeup in the FCO. If there isn’t they are going to continue damage the UK internationally.

Gordon Brown: hereditory peers & votes for children

Gordon Brown is not having a good election. Which is an understatement!

He is a disaster for labour. A disaster that would get much worse if he clung on with Lib-Dem help on spite of the fact he was third place. THAT would be bad for labour.

Anyway today he made yet another speech to get people to vote for him . What strikes me is the weakness of the argument. Votes for children are not a big winner for most people. The spin of fox hunting laws being repealed doesn't effect most people. The worst idea is that the Tory's will keep hereditary peers in the house of Lords .

See here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8642826.stm

Not exactly the things to galvanise support I would have thought. The whole spin is an insult to the public.

If he was so keen for votes for children why did labour not introduce them over the last three parliaments?

If he hates hereditary peers so much (bearing in mind that those who remain in parliament are the ONLY peers actually elected and do a good job which is more than you can say to the life peers) why did labour pass a law to keep the 92 hereditary peers?

And as for fox hunting, most people have more important things to worry about, like their jobs and the economy, to be swayed to vote Brown who will place their jobs in jeopardy and drive the country deeper into unsustainable debt, to protect foxes. Fear of unemployment and bankruptcy tends to put fox hunting into perspective.

It is this taking us for fools I find irritating.

Not only does he think us idiots what he is proposing to save his career is tired and lacking excitement.

It is as if labour and Brown have run out of ideas. And I'm not talking about good ideas here. ANY ideas.

Labour is exhausted and bereft of talent. It is time for them to go into the night and let others repair the damage they've done.

Brown is having a terrible campaign though. And it could not happen to a 'nicer' bloke.

Nick Clegg and the private donations.

Nick Clegg has made great play of how everything he does is above board. He criticised the other party leaders and told us he was as pure as the driven snow.

It was always going to be a dangerous tactic for a person who made sure to claim much more than either of the two main leaders on expenses. Especially since the number of his  MPs who have been caught beats even labour.

It now comes out in a Daily Telegraph investigation that Clegg had donations to his party paid directly into his private bank account. In 2006 three businessmen paid money into his account and he used these political donations were used by Clegg to pay his mortgage and private shopping....on top of his expenses from the taxpayer. Each businessman paid £250 per month, per person into his account.

So that's £750 per month on top of his wage and expenses. To normal people that is serious cash.

This is irregular to say the least. It is decidedly iffy for a politician to get donations to his party paid into his own pocket. Even the most corrupt of politician's  has cash laundered through their party before they steal it. Clegg felt he did not have to comply with even this ruse. No he just had cold hard cash paid to him directly.

So not so pure rather decidedly peculiar.

Clegg is not so untainted is he? Just greedy and sleazy. Hopefully this sleazy behaviour bites him in the ass!

Vince Cable destroy's reputation as a sage.

Andrew Neil has been around for as long as I can remeber. You forget how good he is as an interviewer. He's an economist by training and it shows. I personally think he is the best political interviewer out there. He plays hard ball.

He did an in-depth interview with Vince Cable the self-proclaimed economic guru and saint which he made Cable revel himself as a shallow idiot.

The full video of this interview, which I don't think is viewable outside the UK, is to be found here. If you can see it is well worth watching.

And the same thing happened when Cable, Alistair Darling, George Osborne were interviewed by Neil as part of his interviewing of the key players in the forthcoming election on Wednesday.

It is a devastating deconstruction of the Cable reputation. It shines a light on the inherent vacuousness of Vince Cable. It shows him to be shallow and totally out of his depth.

It shows him as just another spiv politician who uses spin and lies to boost his ego and power......Cable is seriously believed to be the next chancellor in the case of a hung parliament.

Look at the video and ask yourself: would you want this bumbling idiot in change of our economy?

The labour paedophilia smear.

Politics is a nasty, nay vicious, business. Labour optimise this.

In their desperation they have issued an official party brochure which in all seriousness tells the voters that if they vote Lib-Dem it means they love paedophiles. Specifically they have said that the Lib-Dems want to give votes to paedophiles, so if you vote for them it means you do too. See here.

The fact is that there is movement to give all criminals a vote even if they are in prison. Part of this is the criminal rights movement that have taken the UK to the EU court. Rulings have been made to the effect that it is against the human rights of the criminal to deny them their vote just because they are in the clink.

The Lib-Dems are fervent supporters of the EU and are liberal as regards to criminals. I don't agree with them but it is their view.

However what I find really despicable is the spin that it is the Lib-Dems, and only the Lib-Dems who will introduce such votes for the anti-social elements.

They are not.

Some elements in the labour party are just as soft on the criminals as the worst of the Lib-Dems.

But it really does not matter what party is in power. If the European Court of Human Rights demand that the criminals should be given a say in our electoral system the UK government has no option but to change the system and give them a vote. They have to or leave the system.

So unless UKIP is the next government in a unique democratic upheaval crims will get a vote.

I for one believe that being put in prison means that you are outside mainstream society. This means that you lose certain rights. The right to freedom for a start, and the loss of a vote in the workings of a society you have placed yourself outside of is another.

This is not an argument about the rights or wrongs of giving criminals a vote. It is not even about the power of an unelected and remote court having the power to change the system in a democratic society against the will of the people.

This is a about base politics.

What is truly horrible about this labour smear is the obscene link to paedophilia. If criminals have to be given a vote then all  criminals will have to be given the vote. Litter louts, rapists, light-bulb thieves, murderers, serial killers, and yes paedophiles.

By giving precedence to those most vile of people who rape children is a rather crude attempt to link the Lib-Dems to the rape of children.

What type of person or party use child rape to garner a few votes?

Paedophilia is one of the worst things imaginable. There is no justification to the act. It destroys lives. It is utterly abhorrent.

Labour's use of this crime for political advantage shows a cruel, callous, un-humane streak, that cannot see beyond the coming election and see the horror that is the reality of such abuse.

Roger Godsiff, labour candidate!

Labour should be ashamed and Roger Godsiff, the labour candidate who sent out this literature, and those who approved his literature should be drummed out of the labour party.

They wont of course. Labour has lost its moral compass.

Sickening.

What it feels like when a labour heartland tires of labour

I live in a staunch labour area. Labour have supplied our MPs since before I was born. Before my parents were born as it happens. And my grandparents.

Like I said this is a labour area.

Our council was labour forever and a day until the public became sickened by their corruption and kicked them out.

In spite of this hiccup our MP remained labour.

Driving around before any election you were forcibly reminded of the fact that this is a labour heartland. Labour posters leaped out at you from every other window. This was a labour area and proud of the fact.

Something has changed.

Driving around I've seen the grand total of two labour posters. And these on the houses of labour councillors. And only the two councillors the others are silent. Even the most rabid of labour supporters do not have a poster this year. In fact one is struck by the quietness of the labour camp.

In contrast the number of Lib-Dem and even Tory posters is huge.

It is common knowledge that this seat is going to go to the Lib-Dems. We've known it for years. Our current MP has done her self no favours. Her expenses have been controversial shall we say. She attacked the LD candidate on her expenses but it backfired when it came out that the LD woman did not claim any and when we found out about the labour MP's iffiness. It did not go down well with the voting public.

She's lied to us about supporting local issues when the reality is she has supported the government in everything even is it is against local wishes.

So we know she's going to be a one parliament MP.

This loyal labour seat is gong LD.

This is not a bit of local difficulty due to having a useless MP though. All around me are labour constituencies. All bear a lack of labour posters. Indeed a near constituency is swamped by LD and Tory posters.

Labour have got themselves in a bit of bother by being caught vandalising the Tory posters. This vandalism and hatred of freedom of speech has not gone down well.

What I find interesting is not the advertising budget but the evaporation of vocal labour support. Now I can foresee no possibility of the neighbouring constituency not electing a labour MP however the same area used to have no Tory councillors. Not one. Zero. But now it has a fair number. In fact it they control THE most labour of areas in a very labour constituency. Which I find amazing. Every election the Tory numbers increase.

The local papers are full of real people supporting the Tory party and only labour councillors supporting labour. Labour is openly criticised as being dictatorial and useless. And these are labour supporting papers.

You can argue about advertising budgets and media spin but it is more than that. People are sick of Brown and this labour government.

The stench of death hangs over this area for labour.

I never thought I'd live to see the day labour support died in this area.

Incredible. All because of Brown and Blair.

Lib-Dems in second place? Why this is bad for the Lib-Dems.

And so the first ever televised TV debate between the  Prime Minister and those who would be PM has occurred.

And yet the world still turns. They expected that over twenty million people would watch but less than half of that bothered. Dr Who got better viewing figures. And this is the ground breaking political programme. They really should have got better than that.

Any road up, the latest poll says that labour is now third and the Lib-Dems second, see here

The results of this one poll is as follows,

  • Conservative: 33%
  • Labour: 28%
  • Liberal Democrat: 30%
  • Others: 9%
The Lib-Dems are cock a hoop. However I cannot see how this one result can possibly be good for the Lib-Dems.

As a proviso I should mention my aversion to the Lib-Dems. An aversion borne out of experience. Secondly that I'm not a great fan of polling. I find their methodologies and spin unscientific and misleading. It is a voodoo 'science'.

Getting that out of the way I still think it is bad for the LDs. For the whole of their existence they have been overlooked and indulged. Not now though. Every policy they espouse will be scrutinised and costed. Any stupidity, contradiction, or mistake will be used to attack them. (For example the Clegg wants to restrict immigration to parts of the UK. This is totally unworkable, unfeasible, illegal, and stupid. He cannot get away with that now.) Any oddball, and the LD's have more of them than most parties, will be dragged into the light and used to undermine them. They could have done without this.

The  more people know about them and what they want the greater the chance they have of alienating people. Not good.

It gets much worse than that though.

This poll allows the Tories to attack them. They will be able, with justification,to say that if you vote Lib-Dem it will mean that Brown will remain as PM, even if he is only the third most popular party in terms of votes. The labour and Lib-Dems could work together to ensure that the Tory party will never form a government.

Vote Lib-Dem and you will never be able to get shot of the hated Brown.....EVER.

And that's why this attack is so good for the Tories. The Lib-Dems have traditionally been seen as the safe protest vote. If you don't like the Tory/labour party any more but cannot stomach voting for the main opposition then you voted Lib-Dems.

This one poll allows the Tory party to make an explicit call. You may not like or trust the Tory party but if you vote Lib-Dem then you will get Brown, potentiality for ever.

The vote will be for change or for Brown: for the Tory party of more labour corruption and more uselessness.

That simple message could, if used correctly, maximise the Tory vote. It allows the Tory party to pin down the slippery Lib-Dems.

For what it's worth I've never liked David Cameron. In spite of this I still feel he'll be our next Prime Minister.

The first leader's debate: what's the point?

Today is the first leader's debates. Held on television for the first time to boot! New technology rules. They'll be using fax machines soon.

And they've asked Nick Clegg to attend as well. I suppose they need a little light relief.

The thing is I take an interest in politics. I have to admit such interest does tend to manifest itself with expletive strewn anger at the idiocy of politicians. But I do take an interest.

But I don't think I'll be watching the debate. It has been so neutered by the demands of the participants that the chance of any real revelations are nil. There are going to be three none entities regurgitating their spin and lies.

I have better things to do with my time that be lied too.

I'm surprised about how dull this election is. My god the leaders are bland and unappealing. Except Brown who is bland and downright nasty.

I blame Brown. If he had not run away from the election he would have won after bullying his way into becoming PM we would not have had three years of pseudo election to put up with. That's why we're bored with the election. We've had it for three long years.

Brown has nothing new to say and is a proven liar.

Clegg is a waste of space and a liar (amongst other lies saying he is an arsonist and had to do community service in a pathetic attempt for this very posh boy to be 'down wit da kidz'. It is a lie).

And Cameron a man who broke a promise to hold a referendum.

I feel we deserve better than these three.

Labour is being destroyed by Brown and the in-fighting has not started yet.

And so I'm going have a meal with friends and have fun.

Well it's better than being patronised by Gordon Brown!

Labour MPs get free lawyers: others don't

I wrote yesterday how the labour MPs who are being tried for corruption have been granted the finest legal defence our money can buy. This will cost the taxpayer millions if it goes to appeal. Even worse than that though is the fact that we mug taxpayers are paying for these crooks to argue that they are immune from prosecution as they are MPs.

It is a scandalous decision . I've written here how I simply cannot understand how rich labour politicians get free legal aid when others are denied it. In light of this I'm posting a graphic from the Daily Mail (see here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/election/article-1265611/General-Election-2010-Brown-make-thieving-expenses-MPs-pay-legal-aid.html) which lists some of the cases deemed not important enough to merit legal aid.

Strangely these cases are those which would embarrass the labour party in one was or another.

The point is that if you are a corrupt labour politician you'll be let off, the system rigged if need be, or if that doesn't work unlimited amounts of taxpayers money will be lavished on your defence.

If you are not a labour politician and you have loved ones murdered or killed due to labour's action then you'll get no help.

Unless you're labour you don't count. Worse, you'll be attacked by labour for daring to want justice if it does not suite labour spin. You see we and our families are unimportant. Our lives or deaths are trivial to labour. We are the little people not important, though corrupt, labour types.

Gordon Brown is spinning that he'll ensure the iffy three will have to repay the legal aid money. And if you believe that you are an idiot. Not only did he rule over a system that allowed such abuse he has no power to make them repay a penny. It is out of his control. Well it is now because of the system labour created. His spin is meaningless. It is done to reduce the damage Cameron did to him yesterday by linking labour to corruption.

Pathetic.

So look at the graphic below and ponder the fact that the political system believes they are a minor unimportance. And compare it to the corrupt labour MPs being funded.

This is how screwed up and politicised our system is under thirteen years of labour.

Awful isn't it?

We pay to defend labour corruption: a good day for Cameron: bad day for labour

Today marked the launch of labour's election manifesto. And very poor it was too.

However it was botched. The very same day it was launched (with Gordon Brown misusing NHS property to do it which is against the rules) it is announced that the three labour MP's are getting legal aid for their corruption trial.

The Tory peer facing trial is not getting legal aid.

I simply cannot understand how corrupt MP's earning (ex-expenses) just shy of £70,000 can get legal aid but people on a pittance are denied.

Where is the justice?

So labour MP's get their choice of VERY expensive lawyers. This will cost hundreds of thousands each for the trial. With appeal this will rise to millions each.

And we pay for it.

Strange how corrupt labour types get all the help going to get off with their crimes.

Then again they are our betters.

The fact that it was announced today ruined Brown's amateurish launch worked brilliantly for David Cameron. He saw the announcement on his coach. This allowed him to give a off the cuff speech to a crowd of on lookers in a street railing against the decision. He told them, and us, that we are paying for their corruption. More than this he will changed the rules to ensure that corrupt MP's are not eligible for legal aid.

This linking of corruption to labour and him to the reform of the corrupt labour system is smart politics.

How smart?

Well the main ITV news led with Cameron and labour corruption not with Brown's manifesto.

It's not been a good day for labour.

The legal aid decision is a scandal.

Vote Lib-Dem or the streets will run with blood: the latest spin by Nick Clegg

An election is a dirty business full of spin and lies. The parties spin their narrative. Reality is usually not entirely adjacent to the spin but hay ho what ever it takes to get elected.

But even for the low standards of modern politics the efforts of the Nick Clegg (??? still no idea) the 'leader' of the Lib-Dems is is a low mark for any major party.

He has told us that if we don't vote LD there will blood see here.

Apparently vast herds of wild civil servants (sacked by the other parties in an attempt to stop is spiralling into ever more serious labour induced debt) will form gangs. They will be lead by the ex-manager of the job centre in Runcorn. They will take the name Barry the disemboweler. Clothed in the finest suede he'll lead his band wreaking havoc, comforted by his harem of school dinner ladies. Roaming around our streets looting and pillaging at will. Our cities will become desolate no go areas...not that you'd notice in some.

The fabric of our society will disintegrate because we will not vote Lib-Dem as only they will keep spending money we don't have.......

And Clegg seriously thinks it is appropriate for an adult, and a leader of a vastly expensive (to the tax payer) political party to try to frighten the voters into voting for him by telling them that if they don't violence will ensue?

Seriously....

Is that the best they can do?

Clegg will never be Prime Minister.

No Lib-Dem will.

Which is a shame for the Liberals were once a serious and powerful party, hard though it may seem now. This constant drone about preparing for power is just an insult to our intelligence. The best they can ever do is to become a minority party. It is what they did in Scotland and Wales. All of their election promises count for nothing as they will be forgotten the instant they become a very junior party in a coalition government. All their alleged principles will be eagerly abandoned at the mere sniff of a junior position.

And that's all they can hope for.

I simply don't understand why they lie and treat us as fools. Now you could say that honesty in politics would be nice, and it is. But this goes beyond that If the Lib-Dems were honest about the economy and the cuts that need to be done regardless of who becomes the next government, and treat us as if we are adults they will become the respected, honest party. This image would benefit them in the long term.

Their spin, and their lies, the way the will be racist in racist areas, and politically correct in PC ones, is damaging their election prospects.

So we should, according to Clegg, prepare ourselves for a Mad Max dystopia if the don't vote Lib-Dem....I suppose it will make a change from the norm. And as they say, a change is as good as a rest!

Sunday, 11 April 2010

So are the Liberal Democrats going to return their stolen money Vince?

I'm not a fan of the Lib-Dem's self-professed economic guru, Vince Cable. I don't find him very impressive. He keeps claiming that he forested the recession....but never told anyone. ( as I did, but I also never bothered to inform anyone), that he got it right on the bank bailout....even though he is been shown on TV changing his mind and waffling several times in one day about what he wants doing.

For all the kindly countenance he is just another shallow, publicity hungry politician with a vastly inflated sense of his own abilities or importance.

Last week he let it be known that the Treasury called him in to prepare him to be Chancellor in a labour led coalition because he is so great and fab. That this was an unprecedented move done because of his genius.....

....and then had to admit that it was a lie/spin. All the holders of the economic position of the main national parties are called in for a chat pre-election. Indeed his Lib-Dem predecessor before the last election was called in for a talk. It is nothing.

Indeed it then came out that the Treasury only did it because they had too as they were not impressed with Cable.

He will never become Chancellor, he will never have any power or responsibility. His party will remain powerless.

So what is he: a liar, too stupid to know how the political system that has made him rich works, or did he have a senior moment?

I'll be kind and say he is a liar.

And now this 'sainted' man has called those business men who have come out to support the Tory party as "utterly nauseating" (see here) not very nice thing to say is it about people exercising their free speech?

In light of this outburst perhaps the sanctimonious Vince will do the right thing and call on the Lib-Dems to return the money they received from Michael Brown. Brown was not allowed to make any donation because he was not registered in the UK for voting. Such legalities counted for nothing for the Lib-Dems who greedily accepted his money. At £2.4 million this is the largest donation in the parties history, and is the largest single amount for any political party in the history of the UK.

Not only was it illegal for the Lib-Dems to take his money, the money itself was stolen.Brown is now in prison for his crimes See here.

The self-righteous Lib-Dems have refused to return the stolen money to their rightful owners. So the victims of theft are suffering because of the Lib-Dems.

So will Vince demand his own party to return the stolen money?

Of course no. He is a hypocrite.

So if people expressing their right to freedom of expression are nauseating, what are the people who keep stolen money?

The Lib-Dems.

The MacLennan Tweets: did senior labour figures agree with him? Yes apparently.

I've written about the scandal surrounding the ex-labour candidate, Stuart MacLennan, and his sacking because of his Twitter comments. For the final time I'll be returning to him. I say final time because I feel that he'll be returned to well deserved anonymity shortly now he has blown his chances.

As we know he made full use of Twitter. In it he came across as insulting to the opposition (which is fine in my eyes but hardly politic). Worse than that he insulted TV people, again no problem with that. But what got me is his insults aimed at the old and the working-class and his penchant for first class travel. And his inherent sexism.

He is supposed to be new labour!!!!

I don't like being taken for a fool. It displeases me muchly. And this is what the labour spin machine is trying to do in this case.

The reason is simple. Stuart MacLennan used Twitter a lot. A lot of labour people do. It is part of the spin to look hip and modern. To try to be like President Obama who used Twitter as part of his new media internet campaign to get elected.

To my mind it looks desperate but there you go.

As part of this labour Twitter love-in MacLennan was followed by a lot of senior labour figures, ministers and even Gordon Brown's wife.

And that's what I find insulting. If labour spin that the got tried of Stuart because of his 'vile' Tweets why did the not do so BEFORE the media made such a stink?

Apparently these senior labour figures did not find his Tweets vile or unacceptable when they read them at the time so why spin they are now?

Like I say, being taken as an idiot riles me.

The internet and the new media is not being handled well be our political class. Their first step is to not lie to us.

Anyway we can probably but Stuart MacLennan back into is box now. His future is over.

Bye bye.

Twitter claims its first labour scalp!

Stuart MacLennan is a knob. A small, rancid, flaccid dick, weeping pus.

He is the idiot who was a labour candidate at the upcoming election. The important word here is 'was'. Today he was forced to step down because he used his Twitter account to call members of the opposition, talent show judges, amongst others, twats, and cunts.

See here, http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/labour-sacks-candidate-stuart-maclennan-over-offensive-tweets-1940351.html

When it came out labour panicked. First they gave him their full support, then dithered, then got rid of him due to the media scandal.

Not very decisive. Then again you have to expect dither and panic under Gordon Brown.

Three things struck me whilst reading his insults.

The first is the immaturity of insults.

The second is the repeated use of sexist insults. Twat, cunt, etc., are seen to be vile insults that have sexist attitudes at its base. This means that you can say bugger, fuck, even mother-fucker on British TV, cunt and the like get bleeped.

His use of such terms shows us that for all the labour party spin about being feminists in reality sexism and unreconstructed attitudes persist.

The third thing is the lack of understanding of the internet and the new media. What you say is never forgotten.

I'm struck by Stuart MacLennan's stupidity. I agree with a lot of what he said, especially about TV judges. But that does not stop him being a great steaming ninny.

The reason? I can call anyone I like any insult I can think of, however vile.

But I'm not standing for election in a couple of weeks.

It is his stupidity that I find shocking. How can any candidate in a modern professional party not understand the necessity to watch what they say?

And so MacLennan has paid the price of his stupidity. His chance for meaningful office, power, wealth, and perhaps a chance to becoming PM is gone because he is thick.

What a dick!

Gordon Brown meeting the public: it does not go well

Gordon Brown's machine spins the idea that he is a listening person, that the engagement with the public is very improtant to them. That they are a caring party working non-stop to improve the lot of the normal person.

Reality is not like that though. See what happens when Gordon Brown meets a normal person. It does not go well.

Ben Butterworth, a blogger, is devastating. The reason is simple. He was to the point, and expressed real anger. He vocalised the anger felt by a lot of real people. It is obvious that Ben is going to be attacked by the labour attack team. However Ben has blogged of his intention not to vote Tory or Lib-Dem, his support for the BBC, and is a Guardian reader. Remember that.

His anger is the real thing expressed by a normal person pissed off with labour

The thing that I find shocking really is the total ineptness of Gordon Brown and his very expensive election machine. How could they allow the situation where Brown is seen running away from a normal person being huddled into an armoured convoy by chubby men. He was bound to meet the great unwashed during an election campaign, how could they be so unprepared?

By handling a situation that is bound to happen so badly makes it obvious that the press are going to contrast behaviour with his spin. This undoes all the spin and reminds people that he is an unpleasant, cowardly, freaky man.

It is ridiculous that a professional election machine is so incompetent. We expect Brown to be useless with social interaction. He's not normal. But you expect more from professional election machinery.

It is most peculiar.

Lib-Dem's as sanctimonious as ever!

I have to admit that I am not a fan of politicians. With some notable exceptions they are not worth the effort. Saying that I really do not like the Lib-Dem's.

The reason, if you need one to dislike the Lib-Dems, is because I know some of them.

'nuf said.

For all the spin they put out that they are purer than the driven snow they are really nasty. This is a party who won a seat from labour who had a gay candidate by putting out a leaflet saying vote Lib the 'straight' candidate. Remember that if you think they are pro-gay. Not only did they explicitly go after the homosexuality of the labour candidate, they Lib-Dem who put out the literature and won the seat turns out to be gay. Though he did not mention the fact for twenty odd years.

Not nice.

And this is the only  party in recent memory who have been officially found to have put out racist literature in an attempt to win seats. Not the loathsome BNP, the fucking Lib-Dems!

You see for all the spin about being cuddly the Lib-Dems will say anything to get votes. If they are standing in a area of BNP support, they'll be even more racist, if in a homophobic one they'll out do the worst.

Hypocrisy is disgusting.

And so today we have Nick Clegg (who he???) the lib Dem leader, is telling that if people vote for the main parties you are voting for corruption, see here.

His sanctimoniousness drivel is sickening. He is not untainted. He has carefully claimed the most he can on expenses, even though he is rich, he also claimed for telephone calls to Vietnam, Spain, and Columbia. He was even so mean that he claimed for paper napkins, at the cost of £1.50....how mean. In a three month period he claimed over £1,600 for food. See here

This trouserering of expenses by a rich person when people are feeling real pain is obscene.

For all his talk about the other parties being pro-corruption, the Lib-Dems have been caught fiddling their expenses, see here. In this one incident, and there are others, six Lib-Dem MP's, including two ex-leaders were caught stealing from us.

Another lib-Dem MP stole £308,000 for a flat for his daughter, see here, Another has been caught fiddling her rent on her office. And another eight have been doing some iffy fiddling..

At least sixteen of the Lib-Dems are crooks, they only have 63 MPs, not hundreds like the other large parties.

For all of Clegg's sanctimonious mewling, over ten percent of his MP's are corrupt.

So who is the corrupt party?

6 May Election: it's official!!

Well it's official. Gordon Brown has called the election for 6 May.

So the good news is the chance to have a new government with an elected PM.

It's a shame I'm also filled with a sinking dread of the days till the election being filled with sanctimonious, useless, corrupt politicians bleating about how super they are.

That is tiresome.

Swings and roundabouts I suppose.

All set for a 6 May General Election

After running away and hiding when he had a very good chance of actually winning a election Gordon Brown seems set to finally call on Her Majesty the Queen and call an election on the 6 May. See here.

Finally an election!!!!!

I will not really believe it until it is official........

well if I'm being really honest, I'm not going to believe it until I'm in that sacred, tatty, stall protected by bored official's, chewed pencil in paw actually signing my 'X'.

And even then I wont be 100% certain until the results are announced.

Even then I'd may take some persuading.

Now casting aside doubts that Brown will declare a state of emergency which means that the election needs to be cancelled (and I would not put it past him), we are finally going to have a say in who is our Prime Minister.

Makes a change.

Like I've written here before, if Brown had not bottled it, he would have been elected as our PM for a full term. But his cowardice ruled this out.

The thing I really don't understand is why, except for Brown's belief in his own god given right to rule, he bothered. He has not done anything worthwhile since he becoming PM.

Only an idiot would put themselves through this wasted time.

It could have all been so different though. If he held the election he ran away from he'd have several years to in which to be a legitimate PM.

Even better, if he'd not bullied his way to become our unelected PM he'd probably go down reputation intact. We'd all blame that funny coloured creep Blair. Not now though. Brown has screwed his reputation big time.

And the clock is ticking. Expect plenty of lies and smears from labour, more biased anti-Tory stories from the BBC, and maybe a fair election and a new government. I also expect court cases, election fraud and controversy. But you cannot have everything.

Finally a vote!

The labour attack ads: a disaster

The above image is one of the promotion stills taken to advertise the hit TV programme 'Ashes to Ashes'

Below is the reworking of the above by the labour party.

There are few things more embarrassing then trying to be trendy and hip and failing. The case in point is the above labour attack ad.

This ad was unreleased with gigantic smugness by the talentless Milliband boys. The ad uses the image of the character Gene Hunt from the hit TV programme Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars. They have David Cameron in Gene Hunt mode perched on the bonnet of the Audi Quattro, ensconced in snake skin shoes.

All very clever.

And all very disastrous.

The Tories were cock-a-hoop with the inept attack, four hours later the Tories unleashed their poster response,

The line 'Fire up the Quattro' being one of the catch phrases from this highly successful show. The ad is a terrible mistake by labour. Who in their right minds thought it was a good idea to promote the leader of the opposition as a rugged, working-class icon?

What I find so interesting is that labour are so out of touch and PC that they make the same mistake as the BBC about the Gene Hunt character. The whole point of Life on Mars, which is the programme that introduced the world to Gene Hunt, was that Hunt was intended to be villain. He was sexist, racist, violent, corrupt, and stupid. We were supposed to hate him. Sam Tyler, the very-PC PC was supposed to be the person we root for.

But we didn't. The public fell in love with Gene Hunt. This rough hewn copper, who was brave, driven, and a copper who caught criminals, struck a chord with the 'ordinary' person.

Labour, like the original writer, does not understand this attraction. They live in their own little world far removed from the so-called ordinary people. There is a disconnect between an elite and the people they are trying to attract.

This inability to understand the people they want to rule leads to such a stupid poster by labour.

This is probably the first time a political party has put out a spin poster that promotes the opposition.

So all of Milliband's smugness invested in a disastrous spin operation.

A bit of violent fun!!!!

It is silly and trivial I know, but I have to say the Slapometer game is rather fun. How many times does one have the opportunity to give the bunch of third-raters a good slap.....

...... virtually at least.

Isn't technology wonderful!!!!

It does reflect the esteem we hold our 'honourable' members. It's there own fault of course.

You do have to hand it to Slapometer though, it is strangely addictive.

So unleash your rage in a healthy way.

Brown caught lying: again

Politicians always spin about how they are there for the highest of motives. They are selflessly sacrificing themselves on our behalf rather than being hungry for power or wealth.

It is all lies in most cases.

Politics is a nasty business done by nasty people.

Which brings me to Gordon Brown's latest speech regarding immigration. I'm not going to talk about him cynically trying to shut down debate on immigration. I'm not even going to talk about the ludicrous aspect that we should trust labour on immigration after the mess they've made of it for the last thirteen years.

No.

I'm going to mention the unprecedented slap-down Brown has received from the head of the officials statistics agency, the ONS.

This is a key body in government. The head publicly told the world that Brown lied when he said that statistics proved immigration was falling under his rule.

It is not. Brown lied.

See here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1262620/Gordon-Brown-warns-Tory-scare-tactics-immigration.html

What strikes me, like so often with Brown, is his ineptness. His lie made a poor speech which may have persuaded people to vote labour into one that damages them.

It goes beyond immigration. It strikes to the heart of Brown. It reminds people just before the election that Brown is a liar.

He's been caught lying before, most damagingly when he lied about increase defence spending every year.

His lying shows what a untrustworthy, nasty man, he is. A man that will lie and bully to get what he wants.

But it also shows a disconnect between what he wants and reality. He wants to lie to remain in power but it never enters his head that others would refuse to bow to his will. That others will tell of his lies.

Brown's inability to consider others leads to him sending troops to war without armour, it also makes insiders people call him a liar.

Like all these things it is Brown who does the most damage to himself.

Most odd!
